"The garden is fantastic. Thank you for all your hard work. I regularly
take small walks in the middle of the day to take my mind of computers and
work. Overall the space feels a lot bigger.
The chives produced flowers which were excellent with omelette's.
We've been using the lovage and the tarragon in potato salads.
We had a good crop for the first year of blueberries, strawberries
and some raspberries and we even had a few cherries and some redcurrants.
The lavender and the lemon balm have bloomed and Andrew likes to go out and smell it.
The cat bizzarely likes to roll in the lemon balm too.
We planted veg in the patches and have got loads of potatoes, rocket
Italian salad and courgettes.
During the summer the kids played on the grass, with them using one of those
water slides. Also we had regular games of tig which usually involved us
clambering over the rockery.
I think the main thing is that its a safe environment now and its
easy to maintain whereas before we had an unsafe (people slipping down
slopes etc.) place which felt small and was in continuous need of
maintenance.
