susan gallagher ba (hons) landscape architecture
Part of the spectacular restoration of a fine Pollokshields property, the garden helps to serve as a visual bridge between the original building
and the contemporary new extension.
Originally sloping, a level lawn area was created, retained by a traditionally constructed red sandstone wall to match the colour of the house. Grey limestone paving was used to blend with the new extension, and a contemporary hardwood fence sits against the original brick wall. The planting is largely traditional.
