We are fitting a couple of small projects in over Xmas and New Year including this front garden in Giffnock. The house is built on a hill and the garden sloped down, giving an unbalanced appearance to the house and garden. We constructed a small sandsrone retaining wall and brought the lheight up to form a level surface. The house now sits much more comfortably on the new terraced garden. All it needs now is some planting.
BEFORE
We constructed a blond sandstone retaining wall along the edge of the fence to match the house stone and we backfilled it to provide a level driveway.
We used silver grey granite setts to create an edge to a planting bed.
