We have been commissioned to design and construct a pond for an avid lover of koi fish.
The hole is dug out leaving shelves for the stone edge as well as a shelf underneath the water for marginal plants in pots. It is then lined with sand, a geotextile underlay fitted and then the butyl rubber liner is inserted.
The stone is cleaned and laid in mortar to form the edge. The joints are then brushed to give a good finish. On day 6 and 7 we were ready to fill up and construct the waterfall feature. All it needs now is a few plants in and around the edges and the fish.
